From Real Life Catholic: A tribute to Saint John Paul II, who overcame personal tragedy and stood out like a light in the darkness of the “culture of death.”
Young adults and college students are invited to join Bishop Cozzens and others from our archdiocese to the land of Saints, Kings and Divine Mercy!
World Youth Day 2016 (WYD16) is a pilgrimage to Krakow, Poland, to see and share Mass with our Holy Father, Pope Francis, in an experience with youth from around the world. The pilgrimage is open to young adults, college students and high school students who will have completed their sophomore year by July 2016.
Don’t be deterred by the word “youth.” Other than those from the USA, most international WYD pilgrims are young adults! Although our group will include teenagers, you will not be a chaperone. Individuals and group leaders can find more information and register at http://www.archspm.org/WYD16.
If you want to be with Pope Francis, join us for the week-long experience of the World Meeting of Families culminating with the weekend papal visit. Individuals and single people are encouraged to attend as well. The pilgrimage is September 22-28. Visit the archdiocesan event page for more details.
